I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Masters Degree; I helps first-gen college grad professionals heal their unresolved trauma by treating the whole person, going beyond symptoms management to understand the relationship between identity and trauma

In my practice, I treat the patient in a Holistic manner, while taking into consideration challenges faced by BIPOC clients such as historical/intergenerational trauma, impostor syndrome, career barriers, workplace culture and micro-aggressions.

As a first-generation college graduate, bilingual Latina, I understands the importance of providing liberating culturally-sensitive Psychiatric care services. Having worked for 18 plus years in the healthcare field, has provided me with an insider's perspective and facilitated my ability to identify the areas where the systems fail underserved populations.  It is for this reason that I decided to specialize in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) modality; The evidence-based treatment for trauma.

Finding a Psychiatric provider who is Spanish-speaking, and specializes in EMDR, is almost close to impossible; In my practice I make this a possibility. I make it a personal mission to empower clients to reclaim their identity, honor their lineage, and be an active participant of their healing journey.

ENGLISH

Our sessions start with an initial comprehensive psychiatric evaluation focused on the specific emotional and psychological needs of adults with ADHD and its related conditions (depression, anxiety, PTSD). We're dedicated to empowering you to become the best version of yourself.

We simply ask that you commit to the personalized plan we create together: Stick with it, trust the process, and don't give up until you see the difference in how you feel, work, and live.

I know a typical Monday-to-Friday schedule doesn't work for busy hard working people like  us; That's why my hours are flexible, providing an opportunity that rigid, traditional clinics cannot.

EMDR Sessions /
Sesiones EMDR

English

The evidence-based first line treatment for PTSD is not medication for ptsd, but rather a type of therapy called EMDR.

An EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) session helps your brain reprocess distressing memories to lessen their emotional impact. The therapist first identifies a specific traumatic memory, the associated negative self-belief, and the physical sensations it triggers.

The core technique involves bilateral stimulation (often eye movements, hand taps, or tones). While focusing on the memory, the client follows these stimuli. This process helps the brain move the memory from the emotional centers to the cognitive centers, eventually replacing the negative self-belief with a positive one, significantly reducing the trauma's distress.
